The Eagle Creek Community Forest received national attention this week!

On May 21, 2019, the National Association of Conservation Districts published a story about the Eagle Creek Community Forest in their Forestry Notes.

The Clackamas Soil and Water Conservation District has been receiving inquiries from other conservation districts about the US Forest Service’s Community Forest Program. To the best of our knowledge, Clackamas SWCD is the first conservation district in the country to have received a Community Forest grant from the Forest Service.

The Eagle Creek Community Forest acquisition would not have been possible without the tremendous assistance and support received from The Trust for Public Land and the US Forest Service.
